Virgin Voyages' chief marketing officer Nathan Rosenberg has taken over the duties of leading the cruise line's sales team after John Diorio announced his resignation as vice president of North American sales earlier this month.

Diorio rose to the helm of Virgin's North American sales team in early 2022 after starting in regional sales with the line in 2018. Virgin's first ship launched in 2021.

"John's departure comes with great appreciation for his contributions, including building and establishing relationships with our travel advisor community and supporting our growth. We wish him well in all of his future endeavors," Virgin said in a statement.

Prior to joining Virgin, Diorio spent two years with the former Mark Travel, which merged with Apple Leisure Group in 2018.
The cruise line reported this week that this Wave season was the strongest in its history, with revenues growing by 45% year over year and bookings up 34%.
